Fitness is way more than how you look in a photograph. It's not a number on a scale.


Fitness is how you feel when you wake up. It's the energy that makes you want to go out and do things.


At The Dojo, it's also a community, and time shared with friends. 

I've been teaching my fighter based fitness curriculum for a little over 1 year. 40 minutes, twice a week, we get together and hit the heavy bags, encourage each other, and get better.


Better at overcoming obstacles.

Better at breathing deep when the going gets tough.

Better at supporting a friend who just needs to hear "you've got this!"


We sweat - a lot. It's amazing how much you can do in 40 minutes. At the end, you don't remember the day you had at the office. You remember how you did something amazing. 


For me, fitness is a way to remind yourself how powerful you are. It's self-care, and an investment in you. It's also a time I get to hang out with friends and do something that makes us all feel good.


Nothing like endorphins to get you mentally reset and ready to take on the world.
