Elizabeth - Host of Movement Methods

Elizabeth is a Wisconsin native, artist, writer and movement enthusiast living in CO.

"I moved to Colorado four years ago sort of on a whim and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. There are definitely things I miss about Wisconsin: friends & family, the forests and the lakes, but these Colorado Mountains have their own type of magic and I am enjoying exploring what this place has to offer.

And I have met some amazing people and had some really life changing experiences out here.

I took a self-defense class at The Dojo in Fort Collins right after I moved here and that planted a seed for me. I took several academies and decided to get certified to teach.

The training was incredibly empowering for me, but the teaching is rewarding in ways that I can’t even measure.

Watching people come into their own, find their strength, and acknowledge their value is a truly remarkable thing.

Fast forward to now and in addition to self-defense I am training in the martial arts several nights a week, and working on this new project which is really a labor of love that has been several years in the making. Rough Haus has created a really special opportunity to showcase this project: Movement Methods."

What is Movement Methods?

"In a nutshell: Movement Methods is a culmination of years of training and exploring different systems trying to find the right fit. It draws from different styles of martial arts, yoga, animal forms, meditation, warrior training, and playful exploratory movement.”
